About us
Our mission is simple: to help families feel more confident online.
The internet is now part of everyday life. Homework, gaming, messaging, social media. It isn’t going anywhere. Yet parents are expected to keep up with fast-moving apps, hidden privacy settings and risks that didn’t exist when they were growing up. When something goes wrong, many simply don’t know where to turn.
AdultProof was created to change that. We believe parents deserve calm, clear guidance and practical steps they can follow to keep their children safe online.
Why we built Adult Proof
We’ve seen how quickly online problems can escalate.
A fake account. A private message. An image shared in the wrong place.
What starts small can grow fast. Many families only realise there’s a problem when things have already become serious. And when they go looking for help, they often find headlines, technical advice, or tools that focus on spying rather than guiding.
There’s a gap between knowing the internet has risks and knowing what to actually do about them. AdultProof exists to close that gap.
We focus on prevention, conversations, and simple actions that make a real difference.
AdultProof isn’t about controlling children. It’s about helping families build safer digital habits together.
Meet the team
Nigel
Nigel, a dad of two with a background in digital and mental health, witnessed first-hand how unprepared many parents feel when faced with online risks. That reality became sharper after a close friend’s teenager was targeted in a sexual cat-phishing and blackmail scam exposing how little clear, practical guidance exists when things go wrong.
Alex
Alex brings over 16 years’ experience in digital health, product and commercial development, alongside life as a father of two and uncle to a large extended family. He understands both the opportunity and the pressure that social media and connected devices create for young people growing up today.
Kev
Kevin, a father of two girls, has led product development for global brands including eBay and Ticketmaster. When the opportunity arose to help shape Adult Proof, he combined that experience with a personal commitment to safeguarding children before social media becomes part of their daily lives.
What we believe
Digital literacy is as important as physical safety.
Online safety should be proactive, not reactive.
Parents should feel confident, not overwhelmed.
Children benefit from guidance, not surveillance.
AdultProof is build around these core principles. If you want a structured way to improve child online safety without relying on invasive monitoring software, AdultProof was built for you.
